Elizabeth Nielson was the sister of Sameul Neilson. she and her brother came out on a wagon train from Mississippi. She meet and married John D smith sometime after 1833 when the census was taken in the Texas territory.
she was the mother of four daughter.

Elizabeth died in 1848 from pnemonia a year after her husband death, leaving her four daughter to be orphans.

Her sister Mary was married to a Shadrich and they are the ones who raised the girls for part of their childhood.
