Nolan W. Brown

BROWN, Nolan W. 96 formerly of Dayton of Vandalia, passed away Thursday, December 15, 2011. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 57 years, Anabelle (nee Traylor) Brown in 1996, he married Ruth Harley Brown in 2000 and she passed away in 2008, his parents Seldon and Sylvia (nee Goodson) Brown, brother Robert Brown. Nolan is survived by his daughter Joyce Wilfong of Springfield; two sons and daughters-in-law Jerry and Judy Brown of Brookville, David Brown and Deb King of Tipp City; sister and brother-in-law Wilma Jean and Darrell Sullivan of English, Indiana; one brother and sister-in-law Basil and Marie Brown of Croydon, Indiana; three grandchildren Michael Brown and his wife Heidi, Derrick Brown, Julie Esch; four great-grandchildren Lauren, Hannah, Emily and Noah. Nolan was retired from DP & L where he was a Field Supervisor, was a member of First United Methodist Church, a life member of Masonic Lodge #147 F. & A.M. and Scottish Rite, Valley of Dayton. His family will receive friends at the TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME ENGLEWOOD CHAPEL, 675 West Wenger Road Sunday evening December 18, 2011 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 PM, with Masonic Lodge services at 6:30 pm. A celebration of Nolan's life will be Monday, December 19, 2011 at 10:30 am with Pastor Jim Forbess presiding, burial will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Gardens, Tipp City.
