Elizabeth Ann "Lizzie" Inman, age 88 was born in the Shoopman community of McCreary County, December 9, 1924 the daughter of the late Jefferson Franklin and Sarah Elizabeth "Sallie" Gibson Dobbs. She passed away Monday afternoon, December 3, at her home on Lewis Street.

In April of 1950, she united in marriage with Robert Lawrence Inman who passed away January 28, 1971. To this union seven daughters survive: Phyllis Lowe, Susan Denny; Rosella Prince; Bobbie Upchurch; Clara Mae Sears; Debra Lynn Gerald and Rebecca Howard. Her daughter: Kathleen Sell and two infant sons precede her in death.

Also surviving are 22 grandchildren; 37 great grandchildren; 18 step great grandchildren and a step great-great grandchild; her sisters: Opal Gregory and Eula Pelfrey and her brother; Franklin Dobbs with many nieces, nephews other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.

She is preceded in death by her sisters: Lula Gregory; Alta Dobbs; Lora Dobbs and Lorene Dobbs and her brothers: Leman Dobbs and Leo Dobbs.

Lizzie had accepted Christ as her Savior as a young lady in August of 1940 and united with the Bethel Baptist Church. She was a member of the Little Community Baptist Church at the time of her passing.

She was a devoted mother to her children and when her health was good always tried to decorate her infant sons' grave in Tennessee. She was a devoted wife when she was married and will be sadly missed by her daughters, grandchildren; great grandchildren, great-great grandchild, nieces, nephews and the many friends who loved her dearly.
