Funeral services for Mrs. Laura Bell O'Neal, 90 of Henderson will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, December 29, 2012 at the Union Grove Baptist Church, 2001 S. Evenside, Henderson with Rev. Ronald Fields officiating. Burial will follow in the Pine Hill Methodist Cemetery, Henderson under the direction of Garmon Funeral Home of Henderson.
Laura Bell Byrdsong O'Neal, daughter of Jerry and Sallie Mae Starling Byrdsong was born November 13, 1922 in Rusk County, Texas. She attended the public schools in the community of her birth and accepted Christ at an early age with Union Grove Baptist Church.
Laura Bell Byrdsong was united in Holy Matrimony to Clifton O'Neal and to this union five children were born. Her parents, Jerry and Sallie Mae Byrdsong; husband, Clifton O'Neal; siblings, Isaiah Starling and Ida Bell Deason; son, Clifford O'Neal and son-in-law, Charles Edward Robertson, Sr. preceded her in death.
Laura Bell O'Neal departed this life December 24, 2012, leaving to cherish her memories: children, Annie Bell Robertson, Huntington, Texas; Betty Sue Frierson (Acie), Longview, Texas; Douglas Ray O'Neal, Henderson, Texas and Betty Ann Freeny (Robert), Henderson, Texas; fourteen grandchildren; many great and great, great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
