OBIT: John J. Allen, 70, RR 1, Jonesboro, died at 3:55 a.m. Fri. in Marion General Hospital where he had been a patient for two weeks.
He was a retired employee of the American Standard Co. in Kokomo and was a member of the Union St. Friends Church in Kokomo. While living in Grant County he attended the Back Creek Friends Church. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, Kokomo.
Survivors include his wife, Ethel; three brothers, Dr. E.V. Allen and Dr. Eber Allen, both of Fort Wayne, and Dr. Orville Allen, Marion; and one sister, Mrs. Ernest (Ruth) Hawkins, Kokomo.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Hunt's Funeral Home, with the Rev. Warren Fish officiating. Burial was in Park Cemetery
