Juanita Starnes Toney, of Irving for 70 years, passed away Friday, December 21, 2012. She was born November 16, 1923 in Dallas. Juanita was a riveter for General Dynamics during WWII. She enjoyed sewing and crafts. She is preceded in death by her parents Ernest E. and Ada Mae (Gossett) Starnes, and husband Sherwood "Skeezix" Toney. Survivors include her daughters Karen McKee and husband Ken of Bedford, and Kathy Tamura and husband Robert of Coppell; and grandchildren J. Matthew Baker and wife Kalena, Shelby Tamura, and Cody Tamura. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Thursday, December 27, 2012 at Brown's Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens in Irving. The family will receive friends 9 AM until time of service on Thursday at the funeral home.
