A native of Norfolk, Mr. Williams had been a hospital patient since last January. He was first a patient at the Naval Hospital in Portsmouth. He was transferred to the Richmond hospital almost two weeks before his death. He was a career serviceman, having served in World War I and II in the U. S. Navy as chief steward. He enlisted at an early age.
Mr. Williams' survivors are his widow, Mrs. Bessie M. Williams; two daughters, Mrs. Marie Harris, Norfolk, and Mrs. Adeline Woodhurst, Portsmouth; two sons, Leo Jr., and Luther, of Norfolk; three grandchildren, one brother, E. Walter Williams, Norfolk; two sisters, Mrs. Imogene Perkins and Mrs. Rosa Robinson, both of Norfolk, and other relatives.
Burial was in Calvary Cemetery with B. F. King's Funeral Home in charge.
