Mr. Armstrong was a member of New Calvary Baptist Church, Norfolk. He was a member of the U.S. Marine Corps.
Survivors included his mother, Delores Armstrong of Norfolk; four sisters, Darlene Bishop, Renita A. Bland, Hermenia Armstrong and Rhonda A. Ogletree, all of Norfolk; and five brothers, Larry Bishop of Jamesville, N.C., Michael Bishop of Jamaica, N.Y., and Everette Armstrong, Jimmel Armstrong and Eric Armstrong, all of Norfolk; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his father, Clarence Armstrong Sr.
