HAMPTON, VA. - Gaston Bryan Mann, Jr., 63, died Dec. 11 in Hampton.
Mr. Mann was born in Manns Harbor and was a lifelong resident of Dare County.
He was a manager of the Mann's Recreation Center established in 1946. He was manager from 1958-1973. He was a member of the Manteo Masonic Lodge #521 and a former member of the Nags Head Town Council. He was also a Navy veteran of Korea.
He is survived by a daughter, Anna Marie Lynch of Gloucester, Va.; two sons, Gaston Bryan, III, of Atlanta, Ga. and Daniel Craig Mann of Jacksonville, Fl.; a sister, Elva Rae Winslow of Hertford; a brother, Richard Lee "Dick" Mann of Manns Harbor; 5 grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church in Manns Harbor by the Revs. Raymond Wittman and Hobart Burnside.
