Mr. Carter was born September 4, 1981 in Mesquite, TX, to David and Shirley Shewmaker Carter.
Cody was a member of the Little Hope Baptist Church. He grew up in Canton, attended Martins Mill Schools and served in the U.S. Army. Cody enjoyed fishing, hunting and anything outside. He was a talented mechanic who could fix almost anything. He was kind hearted and helped anyone in need. Cody was a loving husband, father, son and brother.
