Lauren Kelsey Talbot, 17, of Richboro went to heaven on Monday, October 24, 2005 at St. Mary Medical Center surrounded by her loving family.
Loving Daughter, Beloved Sister, Cherished Granddaughter, Caring Friend, Lauren leaves a legacy of love and laughter for all who were touched by her grace. She gave of herself completely in everything she did. When you had no friends, you had Lauren. When you needed a friend, there was Lauren. If you were wronged, Lauren was by your side. She fought for what she believed in with passion. She was loyal, she was true and the just "be yourself" person to everyone.
Compassion for those in need went beyond friends with Lauren. Her budding career as a cinematographer found its match in the making of a September 11th video to raise awareness and funds for the victims. Her smiling face caused many people to stop and buy hot chocolate and lemonade from Lauren and her friends raising more money for the victims' families. She volunteered for any and all charitable efforts that came her way. Lauren's biggest act of charity was to trade her miracle of life so that 5 other people could have a miracle in their lives through her Gift of Life organ donation participation. Lauren touched many lives with her creativity. Making movies was her dream and she was preparing to pursue that dream on graduation from Council Rock North High School in the Spring. If you had a birthday, you got a Lauren special home made card, filled with creativity and love, maybe some funny signs and a couple water balloons too. Music was also a big part of her life and gave her another outlet for her creativity. Through the drums, saxophone, piano, and musical creations she produced on the pc, Lauren shared her love of music with all of us.
One of the keys to Lauren's happiness was her love of sports. She played many happy seasons with the CRUSA travel girls' team, (thanks coach "Z"). She had played on the JV Basketball and Soccer teams at CRHS-North and intramural soccer and basketball as well. Lauren also found a love of tennis when she got to Council Rock High School North as a ninth grader and played on the women's team, making her way to the varsity team as a senior. She had a wonderfully successful year, both in terms of scoring, but much more importantly to her, she had the greatest fun and played among friends. Lauren's newest athletic passion was snowboarding and she planned to combine her videography and snowboarding skills this winter to make a snowboarding video.
