Robert Lawton Myracle, age 84, died after a lengthy illness on Friday January 8,2010 at the Oakhaven Home. He was born on December 28,1925 to the late John Pinckley and Laura Jamima Kee Myracle. He was preceded in death by his wife Betty Page Myracle to whom he was married for 62 years and his brother James Lois Myracle. He is survived by his children Judy (Wayne) Bowman and Jerry (Belinda) Myracle, grandchildren Page (Doug) McBay, Laura (Richard) Dyer, Angie (Cary) Holmes, Rob (Mende) Myracle,and Russell (Amy) Bowman, 12 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild, and a sister Beth Taylor Webb. He was a retired farmer and also an avid racing fan. He enjoyed collecting and restoring old cars, however his greatest joy was his family. He was also known by the nickname "Toad" but most affectionately called "Papa" by his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed. Funeral services will be Saturday January 9,2010 at 1PM at Reeds Chapel in Lexington with burial to follow in the Parkers Crossroads Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday 10AM until time of service.
