William Daniel Bassett

WEST SPARTA - William Daniel Bassett, 48, of Stoner Hill Rd. in West Sparta passed away Thursday, Nov. 11, 1999 at Noyes Memorial Hospital.

He was born in Warsaw on Sept. 2, 1951, a son of William G. and Betty Gell Bassett. On May 17, 1997 he was married to Star Hall who survives. He was employed by Kraft General Foods in Avon for the past 18 years.

Surviving in addition to his wife Star and his parents Bill and Betty are: three sons, Matthew Bassett of Florida, Neill Bassett of Leroy and Corey Bassett of West Sparta; a daughter Yvonne Harrington of Rochester; a stepson Erik Luther of Rochester; two stepdaughters, Mary Luther of Rochester and Sarah Luther of West Sparta; three brothers, Gerald Bassett of Florida, Paul (Janis) Bassett of Dansville and Alex Bassett of Ossian; two sisters, Pat (Louis) Comardo of Dansville and Sandra Bassett of Rochester, his grandmother Mary Jane Bassett of Batavia; and several nieces, nephews and many friends.

Friends called Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 at the Hindle Funeral Home, 271 Main St., Dansville, where services were held prior to calling hours at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Jamie Stevens officiating.
