Arthur John Meier passed away in Boerne on Sunday, December 23, 2012, at the age of 82. Visitation will be Thursday, December 27, 2012, at 10:00 a.m. with the funeral following at 11:00 a.m. at St. John Lutheran Church. Interment will follow at the Smith Cemetery in Bergheim.
Arthur was born on April 7, 1930, in Washington County, TX to Henry and Lillie Meier. Arthur served in the United States Army during the Korean War in the Artillery Battalion. He was awarded the National Defense Service Medal. He worked as a custodian for the Boerne Public School District for several years.
Arthur is preceded in death by his parents, his seven siblings, his wife Lillie Smith Meier, and his stepdaughter Norma Jean Kraft.
