NEW SUMMERFIELD - Funeral services for Randy Powell, age 49, of New Summerfield are scheduled for 10 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 20, 2010, at Autry Funeral Home chapel, Jacksonville, with the Rev. Andy Cox and the Rev. Jack Thrift officiating.

Burial will follow at McDonald Cemetery, New Summerfield.

Mr. Powell passed away Sunday, Jan. 17, 2010, in Jacksonville. He was born Jan. 24, 1960, in Jacksonville.

Mr. Powell was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church, Jacksonville, a rancher, successful grower and owner of Randy's Plant Farm in New Summerfield.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Bert and Ruby Fern Haws, and J.L. and Ann Powell; and brother, Barry Powell.

Survivors include his parents; two sons; a special friend; a brother and sister-in-law; a grandson; and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Nick Maestas, Jason Powell, Brandon Powell, Blake Powell, Jordan Powell, John Hord, K.C. Holman and Josh Laney.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Autry Funeral Home, Jacksonville.

Memorials may be made to H.O.P.E. or Azleway Boy's Ranch, 15892 County Road 26 Tyler, 75707.
