Archie Lumbert, age 72, of Mt. Pleasant, died Thursday, November 2, 1995, at Central Michigan Community Hospital in Mt. Pleasant (Isabella County), Michigan.
Mr. Lumbert was born March 30, 1917, in Sunfield (Eaton County), Michigan to Nelson and Elizabeth (Baughman) Lumbert. He married Alice Virginia Ludwig on October 6, 1937, in Mt. Pleasant (Isabella County), Michigan.
A resident of Mt. Pleasant since he was 16, Mr. Lumbert was a member of the Moose Lodge and retired from Dow Chemical after 32 years of service as an operator. He attended the Chippewa Baptist Church and enjoyed woodworking.
Services are scheduled for 11:00 A.M. Monday, at the Helms Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant (Isabella County), Michigan with the Reverend Dennis Hahn of the Chippewa Baptist Church officiating and interment will be in the Memorial Gardens Cemetery of Mt. Pleasant (Isabella County), Michigan.
Friends may call the funeral home today from 1:00 to 4:00 P.M. and 7:00 to 9:00 P.M. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association and envelopes are available at the funeral home.
Mr. Lumbert is survived by his wife, Alice; three sons, Richard and Kenneth, of Mt. Pleasant (Isabella County), Michigan and Larry, of Midland, Michigan; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; four brothers, David Lumbert, of Holt (Ingham County), Michigan Raymond, of Belding, Michigan, Danny Lumbert, of Woodbury, Michigan and Junior Lumbert, of California; four sisters, Hester Smith, of Mt. Pleasant (Isabella County), Michigan, Bernice Deckard, of Missouri, Elsie Saumier, of Minnesota and Dora Harrington, of Lake Odessa, Michigan.
He was preceded in death by both his parents and two sisters, Marie and Florence.
