1920, 1930 & 1940 federal census, living in Ardmore, Carter Co, OK.

Nellie C. Knaur, who was born Sept. 23, 1890, in Texas, married Ross Wallace Coe, born Oct. 28, 1882, in Armstrong County, PA, died May 23, 1961, in Carter County, OK, son of Samuel G.W. and Margaret Elizabeth Coe. Their son Charles Robert Coe, who was born Oct. 26, 1923, in Carter County was reputed to be the world's greatest amatuer golfer. He won the 1949 and 1958 Amatuer Golf Championships. The only person to win more is Tiger Woods. He presented the 1959 Amatuer Championship trophy to fellow competitor Jack Nicklaus. ( msg board)
