Jessie Thomas "Bubby" Chandler, 64, of Mount Eden, passed away on Friday, the 21st day of December, 2012, at his residence. A native of Shelbyville, Kentucky, he was the son of Mary Chandler of Waddy, Kentucky, and the Cecil Chandler, Sr. He was a Baptist by faith, a bricklayer by profession, and was a devoted outdoorsman who enjoyed shooting muzzle-loaders, hunting, and fishing. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his brother, Cecil Chandler, Jr., and his wife, Wanda Mae Chandler.
In addition to his mother, his survivors include his wife, Connie Sue Chandler of Mount Eden; his son, Mark Thomas Chandler of Taylorsville; his daughter, Patty Ann Wainscott of Mount Eden; his stepsons, Leo Johnson and Harry Johnson, both of Taylorsville; his stepdaughter, Mary Jay Chandler and her husband, Jeremiah, of Taylorsville; his brother, Charles Chandler and his wife, Charlotte, of Taylorsville; his sisters, Rosemary Broughton and her husband, Billy, of Shelbyville, Virginia "Cushaw" Bramblett and her husband, Quincy, of Bagdad, Bonnie Lutz and her husband, Terry, of Jeffersonville, Indiana, Rebecca Chandler of Shelbyville, Barbara Shouse and her husband, David, of Waddy, Trenna Sanford and her husband, Chris, of Bagdad, and Crystal Chandler of Waddy; his three grandchildren, Jessie Lee Wainscott, Alivia Chandler, and Whitley Chandler; and his eighteen nieces and nephews, his twenty five grandnieces and grandnephews, and several great-grandnieces and great-grandnephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M., Thursday, the 27th day of December, 2012, at the Hall-Taylor Funeral Home of Taylorsville with Reverend Chad Goodlett officiating. Interment will follow in Valley Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:00 P.M., until 8:00 P.M., Wednesday, at Hall-Taylor and Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the American Cancer Society.
