William Menzies came to Canada with his father John Jameson Menzies who was born in Scotland, b 1798 – d 1868 and mother Agnes Jameson (spelled as Jamison on her grave marker in Nairn, ON), born in Scotland b 1790 – d 1863 and his sister Christina, born b 1826 – d 1907, and later married Ed Wyatt b 1816 – d 1902 (no children). William, Caroline, four children and parents John and Agnes in the 1861 Census at East Williams (Ailsa Craig).
