AGED LANETT WOMAN CALLED TO REWARD MRS. MARIA A. HOLLADAY, 83 DIED MONDAY. LAID TO REST IN LAGRANGE CEMETERY.
Mrs. Marla A. . Holladay, age 88. died at the residence, 82 Gilmer street, Lanett, at 10 p. m January 20th. She was bom in Upson county, Georgia, June 31, 1847. She has been a resident of Lanett since the death of her husband at Langdale seven years ago. She was a member of the Church of God.
Funeral services were conducted by her pastor, Rev. Mr. McCullohs, assisted by Rev. R. B. Lavender, at the Lanett Church of God, at 1:33 p. m Wednesday. Pallbearers were Harvey Oliver, Owen Hollaway, Hiram Hollaway, Alfred McClure, Ed Holladay and Otha Dees. The deceased is survived by four children: W. D. Holladay, Langdale, Mrs. Dock Crowder, Langdale. Mrs. Belle Culpepper, Birmingham, and C. P. Holladay, Lanett. Also by 20 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren. Interment at cemetery in La-Grange, Ga., Johnson and Blakely, funeral directors in charge.
