Charlotte Ruth Gibbs, 59, a five-year resident of Odenton and formerly of Hudson Falls, N.Y., died of cardiac arrest Nov. 15 at North Arundel Hospital.

Mrs. Gibbs was born Dec. 1, 1943, in Queens, N.Y., daughter of the late Karl and Emma Berg. She graduated from Grover Cleveland High School in Queens in 1961.

She worked for Mallinkrodt in Argyle, N.Y., for 18 years as an assembler of medical supplies.

Mrs. Gibbs was a member of Nichols-Bethel United Methodist Church in Odenton . She enjoyed yardwork and collecting Hummel figurines.

On March 14, 1965, she married Martin J. Gibbs, who died June 14, 2001.

Surviving are her son, Henry Gibbs of Odenton ; one daughter, Donna Traynor of St. Petersburg, Fla.; and three grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Charles and Erik Berg.

Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow at Hardesty Funeral Home, 851 Annapolis Road, Gambrills, where funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday. Burial will follow in Epiphany Episcopal Church Cemetery in Odenton .
