Rev. Herman Steele Jr. - a native and resident of Jackson, AL born December 26, 1927 departed this life Thursday, April 12, 2007 at a local nursing facility. He leaves to cherish his memories a devoted wife, Parfene Steele, Jackson, AL; five sons, Eugene Curtis, Oklahoma City, OK, Warren (Doretha) Steele, Port St. John, FL, Ernest Johnson, Birmingham, AL, Herman Steele III, Mobile, AL. and Keith Steele, Coffeeville, AL, two daughters, Phyllis (Tommy) Boler, Jacksonville, FL and Marsha Allen, Mobile, AL. His remains will lie in state at Small's Mortuary, Wednesday, April 18, 2007 from 1-4pm and after 5pm until 8pm at Canaan Baptist Church, Summerville St. and Thursday, April 19, 2007 at Union Baptist Church, Coffeeville, AL. from 11am until the 12 noon funeral hour. Interment in the Catholic Cemetery. Dignified and professional services are entrusted to SMALL'S MORTUARY, 950 S. Broad St, Mobile, AL
