Kay Louise Johanna (Frank) Bleess, 80 year old resident of Pemberton, was called to the Lord on Wednesday morning, February 28, 2018, at Regency Hospital in Golden Valley.
Funeral Service will be 11:00 AM on Tuesday, March 6, 2018 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Freedom Township with Rev. Larry Sipe, officiating. Interment will be in St. Joseph Community Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3-7 pm on Monday, March 5, 2018 at Starkson & Steffel Funeral Home ~ Arnoldt Chapel of Janesville and will continue for one hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday.

Kay Bleess, the daughter of Edward and Verna Frank was born on July 5, 1937, in Blue Earth County. She graduated from Bethany in Mankato. On February 15, 1958, Kay was united in marriage to Robert Bleess in Mapleton. They shared 43 years of marriage before Robert passed away on October 5, 2001. She worked at the turkey farm, family elevator and Motel 22. Kay raised six children and enjoyed watching her grandchildren. Her hobbies included watching all Minnesota sports, reading coloring, drawing, and visiting friends. Kay’s faith was very important to her. She was never afraid to share her faith in Jesus with anyone she met.
Kay is survived by her two daughters: Connie Bleess of Waterville and Cindy (Alonzo) Wingen of Mapleton; four sons: Kevin R. Bleess of Mankato, Ricky Bleess (Cathy Winkler) of Mankato, Rodney (Penny) Bleess of Pemberton, and Joey Bleess of Mankato; 12 grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; brother, Wally Frank of Mankato; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers: Delby and Allan, and her special friend, Leon Piltz.
