James Clarence Roberts, 83, of Danville, passed away at 11:32 a.m. Friday, Dec. 21, 2012, at Colonial Manor Nursing Home in Danville, Illinois.
He was born Sept. 11, 1929 in Boswell, Indiana, the son of William Elmer and Mamie Larie Farrar Roberts. He married Frances Hardwick on March 11, 1950 in Hoopeston. She preceded him in death on Feb. 17, 2010. He was also preceded in death by his parents; an infant daughter, Karen Theresa; son, James R. "Randy" Roberts and one brother, Junior Roberts.
He is survived by one daughter, Marcia (Robert) Gill; one son, Larry (Ronna) Roberts; three brothers, Joel Roberts, Dick (Linda) Austin and Robert (Valerie) Austin; three sisters, Betty Dalton, Beverly (David) High and Margaret Million; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
