Evelyn Lucille Davison, 91, Frankfort, IN, died at 2 a.m. December 22, 2012 at Wesley Manor Retirement Community in Frankfort after an extended illness. Born August 21, 1921 in southeastern Tippecanoe County, she was the youngest daughter of the eight children of Harry G. and Ida (Reene) Davison. She attended Stockwell and Frankfort Schools, and was a 1939 graduate of Jefferson High School in Clinton County.

Evelyn worked at Alcoa, Lafayette Loan & Trust, Purdue University in Lafayette, Chicago Helicopter Shuttle Airways at Midway Airport in Chicago and retired from Purdue Ag Statistics in 1984. She moved from Lafayette to Frankfort in 1990, and then to Wesley Manor in the fall of 2004. Evelyn was a Purdue fan, liked working with numbers and enjoyed working cross word puzzles.

She is survived by her loving sister and caregiver, Grace (husband: Ellsworth) Biesecker of Frankfort; brother, John (wife: Marjorie) Davison of St. Cloud, FL; sister-in-law, Betty Davison of Frankfort; nephew and caregiver, Richard Davison of rural Frankfort; plus several nieces and nephews.

She, like her siblings, missed the presence of their mother who died in 1926 and older sister Josephine who died in 1923. Evelyn was also preceded in death by her father, sister, Esther Mae Zollers, 3 brothers, Eugene, Garfield and Robert Davison.

Services will be 11 a.m. Monday, December 24, 2012 at Wesley Manor Chapel. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service at the Manor. Burial will be in the family plot at Yorktown Cemetery in southern Tippecanoe County. Memorial donations may be made to the Yorktown Cemetery Fund or Wesley Manor, envelopes will be available. The family would like to thank the staff of Wesley Manor for all their faithful years of care, especially in the Memory Care Wing. Goodwin Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
