Harriet E. Shimon (Torrison), age 94, of Hartford, formerly of Brookfield, was born to eternal life on Tuesday, May 15, 2012.
Harriet was born on May 8, 1918 in Valders, Wisconsin to Gustav and Mabel (Johnson) Torrison. She was united in marriage to Stephen E. Shimon on October 18, 1938.
Harriet is survived by her husband Stephen; five children Mary (Rick) Berger of Crivitz, Steve (Linda) Shimon of Hartford, Judy Bouchonville of St. Germain, Pam ( Steve) Koleas of Milwaukee and Greg (Debbie) Shimon of Pewaukee; grandchildren Mike (Sandie), Zak, Matt (Holly), Mike (Amy), Jordon (Kelsie), Spencer (Amanda), Mailey, Casey, Jason, Phillip, and Nick; one great-grandson Owen; her sister Thelma Scardaci of Mt. Vernon, NY; and two sisters-in-law Grace Torrison of Valders and June Shimon of Reedsville. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Harriet was preceded in death by her parents, son in-law James Bouchonville, grandson James Bouchonville, brother Guzzie, father and mother-in-law, and her brothers-in-law Jerry Scardaci, Norbert (Irene) Shimon, and Edward Shimon.
Funeral services in remembrance of Harriet will be held on Wednesday, May 23, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at the Shimon Funeral Home (824 Union St., Hartford) with Fr. David LaPlante officiating. The family will greet relatives and friends on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m.. until the time of service.
Interment will be at St. Mary's Cemetery in Reedsville.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Vince Lombardi Memorial Fund are appreciated by the family.
