Funeral services will be held for Betty J. Bullard at 10:30 a.m. at Grace United Church of Christ, Wilton. Pastors Bill and Diane Anderson will officate. Interment will be in the Durant Cemetery, Durant, Iowa.

Betty J. Bullard, 57, of Durant, died Wednesday, September 6, 2006, at Genesis Medical Center, West Campus in Davenport, Iowa.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 9, 2006, from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the funeral service. Serving as casket bearers will be Jay Carl, Jeff Bullard, Mike Bullard, Travis Bullard, Jeffrey Workman, and Jaymie Bullard.

Memorial donations may be made to Grace United Church of Christ, Children's Sunday School Program, because of Betty's love of children.

Betty Jean Bullard was born April 25, 1949, to Robert and Esther (Boyt) Bullard in Carlinville, IL. She worked for over 20 years for Washington Inventory Services, retiring in 2002. She never married.

Betty was a member of Grace United Church of Christ, Wilton, and the Harmony Sunshine Women's Group. She loved to go to auctions and enjoyed collecting cookbooks and records. Above all, she loved her family and the time she spent with them.

She is survived by five sisters, Juanita, and husband, John Carl of Harrisonville, MO, Carolyn, and husband, Ray Liverzani of Putnam Valley, NY, Judy, and her husband, Gary Workman of Durant, Susan, and husband, Steve Dirksmeier of Marshfield, MA, and Yvonne, and husband, Larry Blakesley of Thornton, CO; four brothers, Robert, and wife, Linda Bullard of Raymore, MO, William, and wife, Charlene Bullard of Elgin, OK, Richard, and wife, Wendy Bullard of Durant, and John, and wife, Lisa Bullard of Naperville, IL; as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by parents and two nieces, Sarah Dirksmeier and Christina Bullard.
