Dean D. Brewer
Dean D. Brewer, 64, of Grand View, passed away Friday Feb. 12, 1999, at a Boise hospital. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday Feb. 16, at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Caldwell.
Dean was born June 26, 1934, at Caldwell the second child of George and Lerma Brewer. The family moved to Seattle right after Dean's birth for treatment of Dean s birth defects. They stayed in Seattle for eight years until Dean was healthy enough to leave. They moved to Marsing, Idaho, where they lived on a farm for four years, and later to Boise where Dean delivered telegrams on his bicycle. He worked on a sheep farm in Mayfield, Idaho, and on the Alaska pipeline where he worked as a mechanic. He later worked in Seattle at Boeing and as a dock foreman unloading semis for stores in the Seattle area. He returned to the Borse area in 1981 where he has lived since. Dean enjoyed working with the cows when he lived on the farm. He was a roller skating champion, and enjoyed repairing cars and mechanical work. He restored a show pickup that he enjoyed to work on and show.
Dean is survived by his mother, Lenna M. Brewer of Boise, a sister, Milly Whited and husband, JP of Grand View, brothers, Oliver Brewer and wife, Barbara of Washington, Noel Brewer and wife, Linda, sister, Sara Henson and husband, Charles of Boise. He is also survived by many other family members. He was preceded in death by his father, George B. Brewer; and sister, Lynn Young.
