She is survived by her son, Jerel Cathey and his wife, Martha Gray of Westwood, Mass. ; daughter, Marilyn Foster and her husband, Larry of Fort Collins; her son, John Cathey and his wife, Cherry of Fort Collins; seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
Preceding her in death, were her husband, Leo Cathey; her parents, Clinton and Annie Brewer; and her siblings, Virginia, Francis, and Zack.
Mary graduated from South High in Denver in 1935. A resident of Fort Collins since 1936, Mary was a homemaker for many years and later worked part time at Julian's, and JF Britt's, locally owned dress shops.
She was very active in the First Baptist Church, currently LifePointe Church. She loved being with people and had many friends. She was an avid reader, and enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.
