Joseph J Rini, was the oldest son of Vito Rini (1888-1973), an Italian immigrant from Sicily, and Frances Monteleone (1892-1966). He was born in Brooklyn, NY on May 1, 1911. On Jan 28, 1930 he married Charlotte May Olsen, the daughter of Larry Olsen (1877-1929) and Hattie May Hale (1886-1945).
Joseph and Charlotte had seven children, all born in Brooklyn; William Joseph (1933-1982), Joseph Lawrence (1935-2004), Frances Mary (1937-1939), Mary Charlotte Rini-Szabo (1940- ), Charlotte Osee Rini-Johnson, (1941- ), Thomas John (1946-1962) and Lawrence Frank (1950- ).
In 1953 the family moved to Granada Hills, Los Angeles County, CA. He worked as a bartender and lived in the San Fernando Valley for the rest of his life. He died in Canoga Park, Los Angeles County on Jan 29, 1979 at the age of sixty-seven.
