Dean Robert Strohn was one of five children born to Robert and Ildra (Wengert) Strohn. He married Vina Myrtle Phillips on September 3, 1960. Together they had one daughter.
Dean moved with his parents from Minnesota to DesMoines, IA. He then went to Bettendorf, IA. There he worked at Alcoa in Riverdale, IA for 34 years as a machine operator.
Dean loved working on television's when they still had tubes. He collected coins and guns. He was a life member of National Rifle Association. He loved to travel and there was a trip in the planning at all times. He loved photography and left his family with some wonderful photographs.
He was looking forward to retirement, but died before that happened. He died at home peacefully in his sleep.
Survivors includes his wife, a daughter, Teresa, sisters, Pauline McClure, Norma Cafer and a brother Clair.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Pearl.
