Brass Works President To Be Buried Monday
Justin S. Randall, president of the Rockford Brass works since 1939, died today in Rockford Memorial hospital after a long illness. He was 58 years old and lived at 1423 Post avenue.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 1 p.m. at the Burpee-Wood funeral home, 420 North Main street, with Dr. John Gordon, pastor of Second Congregational church, officiating. Burial will be in the cemetery at Durand. Friends may call at the funeral home tomorrow between 4 and 5 p.m.
The son of William and Mary Dickerson Randall, he was born April 13, 1886, at Laona and came to Rockfordin 1905. Mr. Randall had been associated with the brass company since 1906 and had been an officer since 1920. He was elected president of the firm in 1930.
Mr. Randall was a member of Second Congregational church, the Elks lodge and Tebala temple.
Surviving are his wife, the former Leah Ramsay, whom he married April 20, 1911, at Beloit, Wis.; a daughter, Mrs. William H. Ross, Durand, and a brother, Roy Randall also of Durand. In addition to his parents, a brother proceeded him in death.
In respect to its president, the brass works will be closed all day Monday, the day of the funeral.
