She was born on January 6, 1927 in Wichita Falls, Texas to the late Carl Monroe and Maudie Mae (Calhoun) Smith. She retired after 21 years as a nurse for Shriner's Hospital in Shreveport, Louisiana. She was a member of the Eastern Star, and a member of Central Baptist Church where she was active with LLL.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Utah Carl Henry.
Juanita is survived by her daughter, Anita Carla Horne and husband G.E. "Bud" Horne of Magnolia; two grandsons, Michael E. Horne of Magnolia, John D. Horne and wife Lynda of Shreveport, Louisiana; two great grandchildren, Colby and Cameron Horne, both of Haughton, Louisiana; two brothers, Carl Smith and wife Jo Ann of Monroe, Louisiana; Don Smith and wife Callie of Port Allen, Louisiana; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, December 15, 2011 at the Central Baptist Church Chapel with Dr. Mike Seabaugh and Bro. Steve Ford officiating. Visitation with the family will be 1:30 p.m. until service time at the church.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Baby Bundles Ministry at Central Baptist Church, 207 West Union, Magnolia, Arkansas 71753.
Honorary pallbearers will be the Adult 1 Sunday School Class at Central Baptist Church
