Clyde A. Hampe, 80, of Berlin, died May 12, 1999 in Berlin. He was born February 5, 1919, in Ohiopyle, a son of the late Harvey and Bessie (Klink) Hampe. He was preceded in death by son, Clyde, Jr., daughter, Jane, brothers, Earl and Vernon; sisters, Lucy Hampe, Edith Colflesh and Anna Lung. He is survived by h is widow, Lydia M. (Baker) Hampe, 2 sons, Ronald of Springs and Michael of Meyersdale; 4 daughters, Eleonora Fisher of Mechanicsburg, Kathy Cannon of Berlin, Naomi Sipple and Tammy Hampe both of Meyersdale; 7 grandchildren; 1 great-granddaughter; 3 brothers, Ralph of Georgetown, PA., Lloyd and David both Somerset; 5 sisters, Margaret Baughman and Jane Engle both Meyersdale, Leora Lensbouer of Friedens, Doris Kleinert of Berlin, and Norma Crissey of Forest Hill, MD. Member of Hostetler Church of the Brethren. Friends will be received from 7-9 p.m. Saturday and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday at Leckemby Funeral Home, Meyersdale, where service will be held 11 a.m. Monday with Pastor William Davis officiating. Internment Greenville Cemetery.
