Wanda Clarice George, 88, of El Paso, Illinois, and formerly of Keokuk, Iowa, died Friday, November 30, 2012, at Heritage Health Systems in El Paso, Illinois.

Wanda was born July 25, 1924, in West Burlington, Iowa, the daughter of Robert and Blanche Wellington Dillon. She married Harry "Chet" George on December 28, 1947, in Springfield, Illinois. He preceded her in death on January 19, 1996.

She graduated from Ottumwa High School, Ottumwa, Iowa, in the class of 1941. She lived in Keokuk until moving to Hudson, Illinois in 1995 and then to El Paso in 2003. While in Keokuk, she was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and had been a member of King's Daughters.

She is survived by a son, Jeff George and wife Jan of Hudson, Illinois; a daughter, Amy Jacobi and husband Mark of Bloomington, Illinois; and three grandchildren, Katie George, Laura and Mary Jacobi.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, one brother and one sister.
