Willard L. Anderson, 79, a long time Rushville resident, passed away Thursday, December 20 in Indianapolis.

Willard was born April 9, 1933 in Connersville to Clarence & Susie (Wildridge) Anderson. He lived in Connersville & Rushville his entire life. Willard was a 1951 graduate of Harrisburg High School.

Willard worked several places over the span of his life. He was a "jack of all trades". He worked as an attendant at several service stations in Rushville, worked for McQueary Block and helped at Eckart Electric several years as an electrical assistant. Willard always had his pockets full of wrenches & different tools. He was a lifetime member of the Rushville Eagles Lodge #2036.

He is survived by his sisters, Maxine & husband Hersel Hoffman, Esther & husband Kenneth Kavanaugh, Joy & husband Ted McQuinley, Karen & husband Shelby Rowe and Penny & husband Lewis Wilhelm all of Connersville. Willard was also survived by several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Milton York and James Anderson.

Services will be held at 1 PM Saturday, December 22 at Moster Mortuary in Rushville where friends are welcome to visit after 11:30 AM until time of service. Ted McQuinley will preside and cremation will follow after services. Burial will take place at a later date in the Lick Creek Cemetery in Fayette County.
