COVINGTON, GA ~ Connie Velma Carpenter, 87, 1035 Lazey Lane Road, died January 14. The funeral will be Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. at Warlick Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in Palm Tree United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Carpenter was born in Lincoln County, daughter of the late Wylie Marcus and Laura Sain Childers and wife of the late Howard M. Carpenter. She was a seamstress.
Survivors include a son, Robert E. Carpenter of Covington, GA; a daughter, Carylon Abney of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
