Ella Nora Wingate Holland, 77, beloved widow of Orlando L. Holland Jr., passed away Sunday, November 11, 2012 in Maitland, Florida.
Born on January 13, 1935 in Yulee, she was the daughter of the late Dennis Raymond Wingate and the late Lula Ozella Campbell Wingate. She was a graduate of Yulee High School, Class of 1953. She had made Yulee her home for many years before moving to the Orlando area in 1956. At the time of her passing, she made her home in Maitland, Florida.
Mrs. Holland was preceded in death by her husband, Orlando L. Holland Jr., who passed away in 1968. She leaves behind children: Orlando Lee Holland, III of Winter Park, Florida; Kathy Holland Parris of Apopka, Florida; Gwen Holland Travis of Altamonte Springs, Florida; a brother: Chester Allan Wingate of Weirsdale, Florida; seven grandchildren: Kimberlee Holland, Kaylee Holland, Justin Parris, Tory Parris Anderson, Kelly Travis, Barret Travis, Clay Travis; and three great-grandchildren: Jackson Parris, Levi Travis and Brycen Anderson.
Funeral services will be held at 1 pm on Friday, December 28, 2012 in the Burgess Chapel of Oxley-Heard Funeral Home with Reverend Morris Westbrook officiating. Mrs. Holland will be laid to rest beside her husband in Hughes Cemetery. Her family will receive friends on Friday at the funeral home from noon until the hour of service.
