Bill W. Stewart, 84, a resident of Benton, passed away on Wednesday, December 19, 2012 in a local hospital.

He is preceded in death by his parents James and Delia Kirkland Stewart; brothers, Paul, Frank and Parker Stewart and sisters, Bonnie Gilbert, Kate Maclelan and Edna Lillard.

He is survived by his wife, Betty Jo Stewart; daughters, (Penny) Molly Kerr and husband, Roy, and Pricilla Callahan and husband, David; son, George Barnes and wife, Gwen and sister, Geri Grubb; four grandchildren, Howell Kerr and wife, Kayanne, Amy Gray, Blake Callahan and Aaron Barnes; six great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were conducted at 8:00 p.m. Friday, December 21, 2012 at Zion Baptist Church with the Reverend David Peters and the Reverend Kurt Benson officiating. Interment was Saturday, December 22, 2012 at 11:00 a.m.in Zion Baptist Church Cemetery with a white dove release ceremony concluding the service.
