THE PARIS NEWS, Sun., Mar. 27, 1994, p. 6A: 'Bright-Holland Funeral Home will conduct graveside services for Billie Mae Moore Yates, 85, of Downey, CA at 1 p.m. Monday, Mar. 28, at the Union Grove Cemetery in Reno. Mrs. Yates was born in Sherman on Aug. 14, 1908, a daughter of Georgia and Joseph Paul Moore. She was one of five children: Ethel, Clyde, Hazel Marie and Ramon Moore, all of Sherman. In those days they lived and grew up at 900 S. Gribble St., Sherman. In 1934, she married Claude E. Yates of Luray, VA. They had no children. During World War II she worked at the Hardwick and Etter defense plant in Sherman. When she was widowed in 1963, she returned from VA to live in Paris with her sister, Hazel 'Erica' Snow. For the last eight years she lived in Downey near loved ones. She was suddenly taken Thursday morning, Mar. 24, 1994, at her home, 'Country Inn,' of Downey. She will be remembered for giving so much love to everyone. Jesus said, 'Love one another.''
