Kay C. Hill
age 78, of North Canton, passed away unexpectedly at home on Dec. 18, 2012 after a brief illness. Born in Canton on March 5, 1934 to the late Carl and Katherine White, Kay was a 1952 graduate of Lincoln High School. She was a member of North Canton Community Christian Church, an avid reader, accomplished artist, and cherished her annual winter visits to South Padre Island, Texas. Kay will be deeply missed by all who knew her radiant smile and encouraging nature.
Kay is survived by her devoted husband Bob of 59 years; her daughters, Melanie (John) Phelps, Melissa Strausser; sister, Karla Patten, New Port Rochey, Fla.; brother, T.D. White, Los Cruses, N.M.; sister-in-law, Joyce Hill, North Canton and brother-in-law, Richard Hill, Canton. Kay's pride and joy were her five grandchildren, Jacen Phelps, Andrea (Matt) Johnson, Nathan and Courtney Jeans, Brandon Strausser and four month old great-grandson, Cooper Lee Johnson. Kay also enjoyed visits with cousins, nieces and nephews.
Per Kay's wishes a service for immediate family only will be held at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman, Ohio. Friends and family will be invited to a memorial service celebrating Kay's life to be held at North Canton Community Christian Church at a later date to be announced.
