Funeral services for Miss Winnie Davis Burton, 77, of Houston, formerly of Troup, were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Forester Funeral Chapel in Troup with Herschel McDonald and Walter Lee Tackett, Church of Christ Minister officiating.
Burial was in the Henry's Chapel Cemetery.
Miss Burton died Sunday afternoon in a Houston nursing home after a long illness.
She had lived in Troup until moving to Houston three years ago. Miss Burton was a member of Troup Church of Christ.
Survivors include two sisters, Mrs. Cora Iva Dumas of Houston and Mrs. Ella White of Troup, and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Wade Gurney, Preston B. Dumas, Carl Weeks, Emory Wilkinson, Preston C. Dumas and J. Royce Matthews.
