Alice H. Goodin, age 89 of Bonner Springs, Kansas passed away on Wednesday, December 19, 2012. A Graveside Memorial Service will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, December 24, 2012 at the Leavenworth National V.A. Cemetery in Leavenworth, Kansas. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions to the Odyssey Hospice in care of the Alden-Harrington Funeral Home (214 Oak St. Bonner Springs, KS. 66012) 913-422-4074. Alice was born on April 24, 1923 in Kansas City, Kansas to her parents Robert and Bessie Peacher. She married her husband Frank Goodin on Nov. 22, 1941 and together they raised their children in the Wyandotte and Leavenworth Counties area. Alice was a longtime member of the Bonner Springs Community of Christ. She retired in 1979 from Swingster in Bonner Springs, KS. Alice was a lifetime member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the V.F.W. She was preceded in death by her parents, numerous siblings and her husband Frank Goodin. Survivors include her five children Betty Davies and husband John of Independence, MO., Lilly Dorsey and husband Paul of Lansing, KS., Fran Micek and husband Bob of Piper, KS., C.R. Goodin and wife Barbara of Bonner Springs, KS. and Virgil Goodin II of Bonner Springs, KS., one sister Betty Malotte of the home, thirteen grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren and one on the way.
