MISSION - Ronnie Gene Story, 57, died Saturday Mission Hospital.
Born in Baxter, Kan., Mr.. Story had been a winter resident, of Mission for one year. During the summer months, he lived in Henderson, Nev. He was a pattern maker for an airline manufacturing company, member of the Southern Baptist Church in Henderson and a veteran of the U.S. Army.
Mr. Story was a commercial pilot for 20 years and a member of the Elks Lodge in Garden Grove, Calif.
He is survived by his wife, Hettie Story of Henderson; two stepsons, Jerry and Keith Collins, both of Chicago; two step daughters, Jeanette Smith of Lakewood, Calif., and Barbara Wilson of Clearlake, Calif.; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held at 30 a.m. Sunday at El Dorado Acres Clubhouse in Mission with Deacon Red Weatherly officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
