Vencil L. "Bus" Frasher:

Vencil L. "Bus" Frasher, 74, of Fulton, died Tuesday, January 23, 2001 at Boone Hospital Center in Columbia.

He was born July 24, 1926, in Jefferson City, the son of the late Thomas M. and Nellie (Spurgeon) Frasher. He was united in marriage to Margaret Sack on August 2, 1947. She survives at the home.

Other survivors include six children, Ruth Ann Burt and Steve Frasher of Fulton, Mary Jane Bock of Yukon, Oklahoma, John Edward Frasher of Jefferson City, Michael Frasher of Olathe, Kansas and Eunice Koziatek of Overland Park, Kansas, two brothers, Tom P. Frasher of Henly and Robert Frasher of Holts Summit, two sisters, Esther Gilpin of Jefferson City and Vera Louise Glenn of Lee Summit, thirteen grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

Bus was preceeded in death by his parents, two sons, one an infant, a brother and a sister.

He was a member of the St. Peters Catholic Church. He was retired from Amalgamated Meat Cutter Union Local No. 576. He was active in the Fulton Little League Baseball Programs.

Bus was an Army Veteran of World War 11 stationed in Germany.

Memorial services are 4pm Saturday at Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton with Father William Korte officiating. Visitation is from 3pm until the time of service Saturday at the funeral home.

Memorials are suggested to the American Diabetes Association or to St. Peters Catholic Church in Fulton.
