He was born in Clarksburg, November 24, 1956, a son of Joseph and Filomena Colasessano Oliverio.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by three daughters, Angel Oliverio, Nancy Bond and her husband, Jon and Rama Grieder and her husband, Brian; two grandchildren, Brian "Little B" Grieder, III and Rylee Grieder; his sister, Rosemary Castellana and her husband, Sam "Zig"; a nephew, Sam Castellana and his wife, Jamie; a niece, Michele Hess and her husband, Rick; his best friend, Vince and others too numerous to mention.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Dominick and Rose Oliverio and his maternal grandparents, Felix and Nancy Colasessano.
He was the successful owner and operator of Joseph Oliverio Painting of Clarksburg, which he started at the age of 15. His motto was "Interior, Exterior, Anyterior!" He was very proud of his accomplishments, including painting the WV State Capitol in Charleston and over 100 churches in WV alone. Joe graduated from Notre Dame High School, in Clarksburg and was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10 am, Wednesday, November 28th at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, in Clarksburg, with Father Casey Mahone, as celebrant. Interment will follow in the Holy Cross Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to a favorite charity.
