Lonnie Harold Benson, age 61 of Dewey, Oklahoma died Monday, December 17, 2012 at his home in Dewey, Oklahoma.

Lonnie Harold Benson was born November 12, 1951 to Paul Clarence and Fern Marie (Floyd) Benson.

Lonnie grew up in Wann, Oklahoma and graduated from the Wann High School in 1970 as the Salutatorian.

On July 14, 1972 Lonnie married Patsy Davis to this union they had three daughters. The couple later divorced.

Lonnie worked for Dale Burrows and for Phillips Petroleum for 25 years.

He like to bale hay with his family, going to auctions and spending time with his grandchildren and watching his grandchildren in sports.

Survivors include three daughters Amy and husband Tim Deacon of Independence, Kansas, Jennifer and husband John Lazenby of Glencoe, Oklahoma and Lona and husband Chad Vyrostek of Glencoe, Oklahoma; seven brothers Ivan Benson, Paul Benson, Bennie Benson, Robert Benson, Tony Benson, Clifford Benson and Larry Benson; one sister Treva Yeubanks; 11 grandchildren Greg and wife Cindy Hamilton, John Lazenby III, Jake Lazenby, Ty Lonnie Lazenby, Chelsea Lazenby, Trey Benson Lazenby, Cale Lazenby, Kadon Blay, Dillon Vyrostek, Matt Vyrostek, Logan Benson Vyrostek; one great granddaughter Olivia Hamilton; nephew Richard Yeubanks and many more nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister Doris Yeubanks.
