Dorothy L. Whitt, 89, of Hollywood, widow of Joseph S. Whitt, Sr., passed away Tuesday, December 18, 2012 at Trident Medical Center.
Visitation will be held Friday, December 21, 2012 at 10 o'clock at Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church, 5412 Highway 165, Hollywood with the funeral service following at 11 o'clock. Burial will follow at Christ St. Paul's Episcopal Church Cemetery, Hollywood.

Mrs. Whitt was born April 23, 1923 in Edisto Island, daughter of the late Clifford Bruce Antley and Lucille Driggers Antley Futch.
She attended St. Paul's High School.
She enjoyed fishing and crabbing on the Toogoodoo River.
She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and worked at the Piggly Wiggly in Hollywood as a cashier.
She is survived by three sons: Charles Clifford Whitt (Gayle) of Bamberg, SC, James Goodwin Whitt and Timothy Lloyd Whitt (Jill) both of Hollywood, SC, eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren, one half brother: Johnny Futch of Berkeley County. She is predeceased by her son and daughter: Joseph Samuel "Jody" Whitt, Jr. and Carolyn Whitt McDaniel.
