Doane—Died at the home of her daughter, Dr. Harriet M. Doane, corner Oneida and Third streets, March 24th, Mrs. Margaret Lloyd Doane, aged 84 years. She is survived by two daughters, Dr. Harriet M. Doane Fulton and -Mrs Charles K. Clark of Pulaski; two grand-daughters, Mrs T. A. Campbell of Pulaski and Mrs Willard Johnson of Syracuse. Funeral services were held at her late home Tuesday evening. The remains were taken to Pulaski this morning and interment will be made this afternoon in the village cemetery. The deceased was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David Lloyd, who came to this country from Wales. The family settled in the town of Richland at an early date, when Richland was sparsely settled and in her girlhood days and married life she has witnessed the development of the town of Richland and Oswego county. Mrs. Doane attended the Mexico academy, when that institution was one of the leading educational schools of the country. She graduated from the academy with honors and followed up her studies and researches, enlarging her faculties, until she was one of the leading women in educational lines. For a woman of her advanced age she was unusually bright, with clear mind and vision until her last illness.
