W. R. ( Bill) Alfred, Mount Pleasant Route 4, died Sunday in University Hospital, Iowa City.
Mr. Alfred, 68, was born March 11, 1905, the son of James and Jennie Armstrong Alfred. He married Winona Barnes Sept. 3, 1938. She preceded him in death in April of this year.
He was formerly employed by IAAP. He is survived by an aunt, Mrs. Albert Souer of Fairfield and cousins. One son and one brother preceded him in death.
Services will be Tuesday at the Beatty-Jennings Chapel in Mount Pleasant with the Rev. Alton Koch officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery in Fairfield.
